Brief Regimental History This is a UK MoD site with a very interesting, brief history of the Sherwood Foresters. A good starting place for those wanting more information about the regiment.
Regimental Museum Excellent site with information on museum collections and histories of predecessor units.
Badajoz Links to another part of above MoD site for a detailed account of the action of the 45th Regiment in Spain, 1812. Explains why a red jacket was raised above the fortress of Badajoz.
Foresters on Singapore An excellent site with accounts from two 5th Battalion Forester veterans. Well worth the reading.

The Regiments A site dedicated to current and former Foresters, 1WFR, and 2Mercian, run by ex-Forester "Speedy" Mead. An excellent place for former soldiers of the regiments to look for information on reunions or former comrades. Please note that this site is about soldiers, by soldiers, and some material may not be entirely suitable for younger visitors.
